Africa-focused senior accountant and investment analyst, impacting facilitator and qualified fellow accountant with over eighteen years business and financial services experience including auditing, taxation, IFRS technical consultant/trainer, forensic accounting, corporate financing, operations and project management.

Mr. Akande got qualified as a chartered accountant eighteen years ago and has since attained the highest rank, Fellow, of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (ICAN). He graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Accounting from Oxford Brookes University, United Kingdom. He also obtained Bachelor Degree in Accounting from Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ogun State, Nigeria.

Mr Akande started his career with Layo Sipe & Co a Firm of chartered accountants in 1997. He later joined Idowu Ibijoju & Co, also a Firm of Chartered Accountants in 2003 where he rose to become the audit manager. In 2006 he joined an investment company, Hedge Securities & Investment as Head of accounts. He later moved to another investment company Redasel Investment Limited in 2008 as Chief Financial Officer.

He started his own accounting professional Firm, Akande Olufemi & Co, a Firm of chartered accountants in 2010. He has since grown the Firm from himself as a single partner to four, with three of the partners being Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

Mr. Akande is a seasoned and approved facilitator with an award-winning training institute, FITC in Lagos. His areas of specialisation cut across but not limited to: auditing, investigation, business analysis, tax consultancy, IFRS conversion and training, due diligence, investment analysis.
